I would go to department stores as mentioned above (i.e. Kohls, Ross, JC Penny, TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Syms, Macys, Dillards, Burlington Coat Factory, or if you live near an outlet mall). I would opt for a “medium” size bag based on the things you will put in your handbag (don't forget to carry a small coin wallet with some form of ID in it).

Have you tried Kohl's, Macy's, Dillards, Target? You could do a search online at their website to see if there’s anything that catches your eye. I think you’ll find something that is fashionable enough for a low price at any of these retailers, but just in case with your parent's permission you could also try ebay for a name brand purse. Sometimes they’ve “buy it now” sales that’ll grant you to place a “best offer” you could try that. But remember about shipping costs.

I would get a tote bag if I were you. They make some really cute ones, and they’re always in style, if your worried about that. I know that you dont have that much stuff but you can also throw in your books that you take home in a tote so that is why they’re really great for school.
