I really don't comprehend it. Why pay hundreds of dollars for a purse that is ugly when you can pay less for a cuter purse?

Answer:
i agree……i have a purse from target and it works just fine and i don't really care if it doesn't match my shoes!

anyways people think about such items more than just stuff….it's like a status symbol and piece of iconography. it's a fad….it'll fade and then they'll be sportin' something else.

next year those hideous boots Uggs (however you spell it) might come back in style….who knows. people spend way too much money to look so stupid or stylish. it's just clothes. yes i like my certain stores but seriously some people spend way too much money on **** they don't need and usually they look like overdone hookers with their poppin' lipgloss and eyeliner. it's quite humorous actually.

Answer:
cause people want to prove how great they are by showing off stuff they payed a lot of money for and state “i can so pull this off cause i'm a rich b*tch” i think they look hideous and sure doesn't say the person's priorities are in the right place

i mean if your really like those bags you could get a cheep knock off

Answer:
You're probably thinking of Coach Purses. They aren't Designer, by the way, they're overpriced junk. And they aren't adorable, they're fugly. You want to check out nice Designer bags? I recommend Miu Miu, Marc Jacobs or Chloe. Balenciagas are simply beautiful. If you can get your hands on Chanel that isn't plastered with the double C logo (stands for Coco Chanel, the woman who started the fashion house) then those are good as well. The Hermes Birkin is an it bag that will never go out of style.

You pay money for these Purses often not because they are Designer- but because they are timeless and of good quality. A purse from Target (or a fake Designer purse-DON'T BUY THESE. Counterfeit goods are illegal because they steal intellectual property from the Designer and support child labor) are generally made in sweatshops in third world countries. Sweatshops work for quantity, not quality. Designer handbags are handmade in small increments, insuring that they last you a long time. Don't believe me? Go to any Designer boutique and buy a handbag. Most often, you’ll receive some kind of insurance or warranty on the bag, which might include free fixes (I know Chanel does this.)

If you purchase a bag from Target, however adorable it might be, at some point it will break on you. You'll end up shelling out 20 more dollars or so for another bag the next year. That's why Designer handbags are good. They last a long time. If you buy a Designer handbag, however, don't buy a “trendy” one. Buy a classic and timeless one (think Audrey Hepburn as Holly Golightly in Breakfast at Tiffany's). That way, your bag will always be in style, last a long time, carry a sentimental value, and will be able to passed from generation to generation.

Designer handbags turn vintage with time, you know. In the long run, they are always profitable and worth much more money than when you purchased them.
